Ms. Jessica Anguiano

Assalamu Alailkum,

My name is Jessica Anguiano, and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach at Ibn Sina Islamic Academy. I was born and raised in North Carolina, and my family is originally from Mexico. I attended UNC Wilmington, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Throughout my educational journey, I gained experience tutoring elementary students, which strengthened my passion for helping children build confidence and succeed academically. I completed my student teaching placement in a second-grade classroom, which was an experience that confirmed my love for working in the education field. After graduating, I accepted a kindergarten teaching position with Guilford County Schools. My first year in the classroom has been both rewarding and transformative. It has provided countless opportunities for growth, helping me develop as an educator and become adaptable and reflective in my practice. Through this experience, I have learned the importance of creating a classroom environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

In September 2024, I embraced Islam, beginning a journey of continuous learning, reflection, and personal growth. Since then, I have been deepening my understanding of the faith and striving to incorporate its values into my daily life. I am honored to join a school community that is committed not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing students’ Islamic character, identity, and love for learning.

I look forward to working alongside the entire school community to help students build strong foundations that will benefit them throughout their lives, insha’Allah.
