Ms. Jessica Ramirez

Asalamuilakum,

My name is Jessica and I was born and raised in Queens, New York with Salvadoran roots,I took my shahadah in 2003 at 18 years old, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and seeking knowledge. As a convert I knew my journey was not an easy route but with the will of Allah, Alhamduliah I was able to succeed and still grow spiritually. I graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a concentration in Healthcare Management and began my career working in an FQHC (Federal Qualified Healthcare) in Corona, Queens where I operated a healthcare site for nearly 10 years serving an underserved community with limited access to healthcare. Through this work, educating and supporting the community became one of the most impactful experiences in my life, strengthening my passion for helping and serving others.

I later transitioned into higher education, working at an international fashion institute college in Midtown New York City, where I worked in the Financial Aid Office, as a Student Financial Aid Student Counselor where I assisted students and parents in exploring financial options and payment plans to help make college more accessible.

After moving to North Carolina at the end of 2021, I became involved in my family’s auto repair and body shop business, gaining valuable experience in business operations and community service.

Alongside my professional journey, I continue striving to increase in Islamic knowledge, believing that learning is a lifelong pursuit. I am especially eager to work with ICT to help Ibn Sina Islamic Academy to grow and flourish, contributing wherever I can for the benefit of the community. Alhamduliah my duas were answered to work with the ummah and I’m excited to embark on this new journey with all the students, parents, teachers and administrators.
