Ms. Haneen Nassef

Assalam Alaikum!

My name is Haneen Nassef. I was born in Virginia, later moved to Maryland, until I finally made it here to North Carolina. As I was growing up I developed a deep appreciation for learning, creativity, and the beauty of Islam. After moving to North Carolina nearly eight years ago, I became more involved within the Muslim community and discovered a passion for teaching and guiding younger generations.

I am currently pursuing my associate’s degree at FTCC, and, Insha’Allah, plan to continue my education in Mass Communications and Journalism. I am also on my journey of memorizing the Qur’an and have been enrolled in numerous Islamic academies, programs, and classes throughout the years, which have deepened my love for learning and teaching Islam

For nearly four years, I have served as a teacher assistant within the Islamic Center of Triad classes and activities, working closely with students of different ages. I have also spent the past year working as an online Arabic and Islamic tutor, which strengthened both my teaching skills and my love for helping students grow in their understanding of Islam. To me, teaching is about more than lessons, it is about encouraging confidence, building character, and creating a positive environment where students feel supported, valued, and loved.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy calligraphy, poetry, drawing, henna art, and many other creative hobbies. I also love nature and animals, especially cats, horses, and rabbits, and enjoy spending time outdoors whenever I can.

I am truly excited to meet all the students and begin this journey together. Insha’Allah, we will fill our days with learning, growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories while making every moment count!
