Ms. Yara Yousef

Asalam Alaykum,

 

My name is Yara Yousef! I was born and raised right here in North Carolina. Being part of this unique and nurturing environment is a true blessing, as it offers not only academic excellence but also an opportunity to help shape the spiritual growth of our students. At Ibn Sina, we are privileged to educate children in an environment where Islamic values are woven into the fabric of their daily experiences. This not only strengthens their academic foundation but also nurtures their deen and character, helping each child grow into a confident, compassionate, and spiritually grounded individual.

 

One of the greatest strengths of Ibn Sina Islamic Academy is its dedication to cultivating both the mind and the soul. The environment here allows students to learn in a space surrounded by like-minded peers and mentors who share the same core Islamic beliefs. This sense of community builds a strong support system that fosters growth in every direction—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe that when children are surrounded by positive role models who embody Islamic principles, they are more likely to develop a strong sense of identity and unwavering iman.

 

My passion for working with children began at a young age, and it has only deepened over the years. I have always found joy in helping children grow to their fullest potential, and I strive to create an atmosphere of care, compassion, and encouragement where every child feels safe, seen, and supported. I believe that each child has unique strengths, and my goal is to help them thrive by being part of a collaborative and nurturing educational environment.

Having been a part of the ICT community since I was young, I’ve been fortunate to grow up surrounded by strong values and supportive mentors. As I matured, I naturally transitioned into being a mentor and support system myself—first through volunteering in Sunday School, then by organizing girls’ youth events, and now by serving at Ibn Sina Islamic Academy. These experiences have given me deep insight into the needs of our youth and have allowed me to develop the tools to help guide them with empathy, patience, and dedication.

 

I’m incredibly honored to be part of this remarkable institution and to play a role in shaping the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and believers. I look forward to working closely with our students and their families, and to contributing to the positive and faith-centered learning environment that makes Ibn Sina Islamic Academy such a special place.
