Ms. Sumayyah Aristide

Assalamu Alaikum,

My name is Sumayyah Aristide, and I am passionate about creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where children feel valued and inspired to grow. I enjoy encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning while helping students build confidence and strong character.

 

Although I was born in Maryland, my family is originally from New York City. Growing up, I had the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures, which sparked a lifelong love for exploring new places, trying foods from around the world, and learning about diverse traditions. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for lifelong learning and the unique perspectives each child brings to the classroom.

 

My Islamic values and love for the Quran guide my approach to teaching, encouraging kindness, respect, and compassion in everything I do. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, discovering new restaurants, and finding creative ways to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.

 

I look forward to continuing my journey as an educator and helping young learners grow academically, socially, and spiritually, in shaa Allah.
