We are excited to offer our year-round Hifz Program for students who wish to improve their Qur’an reading and work toward memorizing the Qur’an. The program provides a structured and supportive environment where each student can progress according to their ability.
Program Details:
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Program Hours: 2:45 PM–5:15 PM
- Pickup Time: 5:15 PM–5:30 PM
- Duration: Year-round, including summer
- Location: School Campus
- Fee: $1,800 per child per year
- Registration is for the full year. Payment plans may be available; please contact the school for details.
Preparatory Reading Class:
Students cannot begin memorization until they pass the Preparatory Reading Class. To pass the assessment, students must read a randomly selected page from the Qur’an within two minutes with only minor mistakes.
During the Preparatory Reading Class, students will complete the Easy Qur’an Reading with Baghdadi Primer book and practice reading from the Mushaf until they become fluent. This preparation may take approximately one to two years or more, depending on the student’s ability and progress.
Individual Hifz Plan:
After passing the reading assessment, each student will receive an individual plan created by the school in cooperation with the student and parents. The daily plan will include:
- Old Review: Previously memorized portions
- Recent Review: Recently memorized portions
- New Hifz: New verses to memorize
Students will memorize in order, beginning either with Juz ‘Amma or Surah Al-Baqarah.
Student and Parent Expectations:
- Successful progress depends on the student’s effort, attendance, behavior, daily goals, assessments, and regular practice at home. Students may need to practice for up to two hours each day.
- Parents should make Qur’an study a priority at home, help their children follow the assigned plan, and encourage them with patience and kindness. Goals should be reasonable and suitable for each student’s ability.
- Frequent absences due to illness, travel, vacation, or other reasons may significantly delay a student’s progress.
Required Materials:
Each student should use the same non-Tajweed Arabic Mushaf throughout the program and avoid switching copies. The school may provide an appropriate Mushaf if needed.
Important Notes:
- Registration is required to ensure proper supervision and space.
- Families arriving after 5:30 PM will be charged according to the school’s regular late-pickup fee policy.
- Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
