Ms. Javaria Choudry

Salam Alaikum,

My name is Javaria Choudry, and I’m truly honored and grateful to be a part of Ibn Sina Islamic Academy. Over the past year, this school has become more than just a workplace for me, it has been a space of spiritual growth and personal fulfillment. Teaching here has allowed me to intertwine my love for Islam with my passion for education in the most meaningful way.

My time with the First-Grade class of 2024-2025 was truly out of this world. I stepped in as a teacher, but what I didn’t expect was how much they would end up teaching me. Their curiosity, sincerity, and joy reminded me daily of the beauty of childhood and the responsibility we hold as educators. They helped me grow in patience, compassion, and perspective. It was a humbling reminder that teaching is never a one-way street; it’s a shared journey of learning and discovery.

I was born and raised in Pakistan and came to the U.S. at the age of 10. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a Diploma in Tafsir from Cambridge Islamic College, UK. My previous experience includes three years as a substitute teacher in Guilford County Schools across all grade levels, as well as working in summer camps with YMCA and ICT. While those roles were meaningful, it was here at Ibn Sina; where Islamic values are at the core of everything we do; that I truly found where I belong.

I believe every child is sent with a unique gift, and it’s my mission to help them discover and nurture it. I’m committed to building a classroom rooted in trust, encouragement, and growth; where each student feels seen, supported, and inspired to become the best version of themselves both academically and spiritually.

I’m so happy to continue this journey, and I pray it brings benefit to the students, their families, and to me as an educator and Muslim.
